FernHill Wetlands

Went to Fernhill Wetlands today.

There were plenty of geese flying over.

Our main goal was to find a Green Heron... and here he is...

Coyotes in Damascus

The coyotes woke us up on Saturday morning. They were frolicking in the field. At one point we counted 7 at a time! I caputured this video from inside the house. As soon as I unlocked the sliding door they ran into the woods.

The deer were out this week.

Deer Family

I was trying out a new setting on the camera tonight and the Great Blue Heron (Terrie) flew right past me. He is so BIG!

August pictures from the yard

The humming bird's wings move in a circle eight. This allows them to fly in all directions, even upside down. The great horned owl - it was hard to capture a photo because it was night. At least you see the outline with his "horns".
The cooper hawk just before he took off chasing a scrub jay. The scrub jay fought long and hard, but I don't think he made it.
